A place to play, belong and grow
Girls cricket at Quinns Rocks Junior Cricket Club is built on connection, teamwork and enjoyment of the game.
Our girls’ program provides a welcoming and supportive environment where players develop their skills, build confidence and, most importantly, enjoy playing cricket with their friends in a positive and encouraging team culture.
While cricket development is still a key focus, the atmosphere in girls’ cricket is often shaped by strong friendships, teamwork and players supporting one another both on and off the field.
More than cricket
At QRJCC, we believe the best part of cricket is the experience it creates.
In our girls’ teams you will often see:
players encouraging each other throughout the game
strong friendships forming across age groups
respect shown to teammates and opposition alike
a positive, inclusive and supportive team environment
It’s a space where confidence grows naturally and every player is valued for who they are and how they contribute to the team.

Our Junior Girls' Pathway
Stage 1
A fun and inclusive introduction to junior cricket where players develop fundamental skills, build confidence and enjoy being active with their teammates. The focus is on participation, learning the game and creating a positive first experience in cricket alongside friends.
Year 4/5 and Year 6/7 Girls

Stage 2
Stage 3
Year 8/9 Girls
Year 10- 11- 12 Girls
Players continue developing their cricket skills in a supportive team environment that balances learning, participation and friendly competition. Strong friendships are formed as players grow in confidence, support one another and enjoy the game together, both on and off the field.
As players progress into the senior years of junior cricket, they experience a more structured and competitive format while continuing to play in a supportive team environment. The focus remains on fun, teamwork and developing confidence, with strong friendships and positive team culture shaping the experience.
Girls Cricket – Competition Structure
Girls cricket at Quinns Rocks Junior Cricket Club follows the MJCC junior competition structure and playing conditions, as set by WA Cricket and the competition organisers.
These rules are designed to support participation, skill development and a positive cricket experience for all players across participating clubs.
This format is used across all participating clubs and helps ensure:
appropriate game length for junior players
regular involvement for all players
opportunities to participate in all aspects of the game
All girls’ matches are played in a T20 (20 overs per side) format, as part of the MJCC competition structure.
T20 Match Format
Modified Playing Conditions
Girls cricket is played under modified junior conditions in line with MJCC and WA Cricket guidelines.
These may include adjustments such as:
pitch and boundary sizes appropriate to age and stage
stage-based playing rules and participation structures
development-focused match conditions designed for junior learning
These conditions are consistent across all clubs in the competition.
Team Environment
While match rules are set by the competition, the team environment is shaped by the club and its players.
At QRJCC, we value:
teamwork and encouragement
respect for teammates, opposition and officials
a positive and inclusive playing environment
enjoyment of the game alongside friends and teammates
Representative Cricket Pathways
For players who are interested in extending their cricket experience, representative opportunities are available through district cricket clubs across Perth’s northern suburbs.
These pathways are open to players who wish to trial and are looking for an additional challenge alongside their junior cricket involvement.
Throughout the season, we share information about district trial dates, locations and requirements so families can explore these opportunities if they choose.
Details will be published on our Media Releases page as they become available.
