About our Club
Our Club was founded by a dedicated group of local parents in 1984, when Quinns Rocks was still a relatively isolated coastal settlement, largely beyond the city limits. As such, our Club is one of the oldest and longest established Clubs in the region. The formation of our Club led directly to the establishment of the Quinns Rocks Senior Cricket club in the early 1990’s
Our Club offers well established and award-winning Entry Level Cricket Programmes for all 5-8 year olds as well as inclusive programs for children with disabilities. We offer these players a great programme as well as the chance to participate in on-ground experiences during the Perth Test Match and Perth Scorchers’ games. We also have a full range of Junior Teams, including options for both boys and girls, from Under 10’s to Under 17’s.
We draw players from the suburbs that stretch from Tamala Park to North Butler, as well as from the area between the coast and the Darling Scarp, with players joining us from Guilderton, Gin Gin and Bullsbrook.
We are proud of our Accredited Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Team Managers and the large number of other Volunteers who help to make our Club what it is. We believe in emphasising ‘fun and skill’ in everything we do. While it’s great for our players to learn how to become consistently competitive, playing sport is so much more than “winning”.
We have a strong, dedicated Committee and an active and engaged Parent group. Together, we work hard to fulfil the Club’s Mission and Vision, which are focused around providing positive experiences for young people around providing positive experiences for young people and helping individuals to reach their goals, all with an emphasis placed on fun and skill!
We have fostered effective working relationships with key local stakeholders, including the City of Wanneroo, surrounding Clubs and Associations, as well as local businesses and Sponsors. A clear Strategic Plan guides our club and ensures that we are always seeking to strengthen our People, Places and Partnerships.
We have a well-developed system of awards that are designed to recognise, reward, excite and motivate our players (irrespective of ability) because we realise the importance of individual improvement. At the same time, we have an impressive track record of providing pathways for players interested in pursuing District Cricket, Coaching and/or Umpiring
We are sure that at the Quinns Rocks Junior Cricket Club, we can provide the best sporting experience and atmosphere for your child. You can expect to find a Club that is warm, friendly, well organised and above all, supportive. Please feel free to contact one of our Committee Members if you would like to know more about our Club. Or, if you would like to meet a Coach, or come and watch a game or training session, we can organise that too.
We look forward to the opportunity to welcome your child to our Club.
